Nevi 1 exemptions

Have you already completed a bachelor’s programme that included subjects in procurement, logistics or supply chain?  Then you may be eligible for exemptions for parts of Nevi 1.

When are you eligible?

You can apply for exemption if you meet the following conditions:

  • You hold a recognised HBO diploma (Dutch higher professional education).
  • You have completed courses that are comparable in content to the Nevi 1 curriculum.
  • You can demonstrate what the content of those courses was, for example via a transcript, study guide or course description.
  • The courses explicitly have a procurement perspective. Courses such as Advising, Developing or Communicating, which are not approached from a procurement standpoint, are not eligible.

Exemptions are always assessed individually. This also applies if your institution has a covenant with Nevi. The content of your specific courses determines whether an exemption is achievable.

Which exemption route suits you?

There are two ways to apply for an exemption. The route you follow depends on your previous education.

Route 1 – Individual application

For anyone with a bachelor’s or master’s background.

  1. Download the application form (PDF)
  2. Complete the form with your personal details and course content
  3. Add your transcript and course descriptions
  4. Submit everything via the upload form on this page

Route 2 – Through your educational institution  

For students from a partner university of applied sciences or research university.

  • Check whether your programme has an agreement with Nevi
  • Request an exemption recommendation from your institution
  • Submit this recommendation via the upload form on this page
  • Nevi will assess the application individually

Important information

Validity  
An exemption is valid for 4 years from the date it is granted.
Registration  
Your exemption is recorded in your Online Learning Environment.
Compensation  
An exemption cannot be used as a compensating grade.
Application deadline  
You can apply up to 4 weeks before the start of the relevant module.
Processing time  
The processing time for a standard application is up to 6 weeks.
