Organisation & governance

Nevi as a professional association

Nevi is an association by and for procurement professionals. Together, we shape the direction of the profession and ensure that Nevi evolves in line with developments in business, society and procurement. We do this through a clear structure with three interconnected layers:

  • The board determines the strategic direction and safeguards the association’s objectives.
  • The members’ council represents the members and supervises the board.
  • The committees support the members’ council with expertise and preparation on specific topics.

These three layers together ensure engagement, representation and careful decision‑making. This keeps Nevi a true association in which members not only participate, but actively contribute ideas and help build the future of the procurement profession.

Our members’ council

The members’ council is Nevi’s highest supervisory body. Here, members represent fellow members and exercise direct influence on the association’s direction. Together, they ensure that Nevi stays sharp, evolves with the procurement profession and makes decisions that reflect real‑world practice. Members bring knowledge and experience from the field, ensuring that decisions align with what is happening in organisations, sectors and society.

What does the members’ council do?

The members’ council:

  • Represents the collective interests of the members.
  • Supervises the board.
  • Sets the membership fee.
  • Organises the national members’ council elections.
  • Safeguards the coherence between statutes and regulations.

Representation per community

Members of the Members’ Council are affiliated with a community and represent members from their region. This ensures that Nevi remains closely aligned with local and regional developments. An overview of the communities and what they represent can be found on the Nevi Zeist page.

Committees

The members’ council consists of several committees:

Monitors organizational objectives and the implementation of the long-term policy plan, advises the Council of Members on the contribution, budget, annual accounts and discharge:

  • Elske Galema
  • Dick Heukelom
The Governance committee operates on a project basis. She is involved, among other things, in applying and/or implementing the statutes and internal regulations, the connectivity of and between Nevi members and Members' Delegates or optimizing the working methods of the Council of Members itself.

  • Anne Wietske de Louw,
  • Willem van Schaik,
