About Nevi

Nevi is the professional association for procurement in the Netherlands. For more than 70 years, we have strengthened the profession through training, research and an engaged community. How you purchase determines far more than just the price of a product: every decision made by a procurement professional has an impact on the economy, sustainability and society. At Nevi, you can continue to develop your skills, stay sharp on current developments and connect with fellow professionals, whether you are at the start of your career or already further along.

Nevi strengthens the procurement profession by deepening knowledge, connecting people and increasing impact. We do this in practical ways:

  • through accredited education and training programmes that help professionals make better decisions;
  • through research and practical tools that can be directly applied in day-to-day work;
  • and through a community of 6,500 members who share knowledge and experience.

In this way, the strategic role of procurement within organisations continues to grow, enabling the profession to contribute to fair supply chains, innovation and sustainable outcomes.

Our vision

We envision a future in which professional procurement is a strategic force within every organisation. A discipline that focuses not only on cost, but also on collaboration, innovation and sustainability. By sharing knowledge, connecting people and increasing influence, we work towards a procurement landscape that creates value for organisations and for society.

What roles exist?

The field of procurement and contract management includes many different positions and responsibilities. Companies and organisations also use a wide range of (international) titles for similar types of work. Below, we list several common examples.

What we offer

Diploma programmes

We offer accredited programmes at every level, from the fundamentals of procurement to strategic leadership. A Nevi diploma is the standard within the profession and is recognised nationally and internationally.

Training and development

With more than 50 short courses, masterclasses and programmes, we help you apply new knowledge directly in your work. We also develop tailored programmes for teams and organisations.

Community and network

Within our community, you meet fellow professionals, share experiences and stay informed about what is happening in the field. We organise conferences and themed events where professionals can connect and support each other’s development.

Education and research

Together with universities of applied sciences and research universities, we invest in the future of the profession. We promote academic research and connect education with practice, ensuring that procurement remains relevant in the years ahead. The Nevi Research Committee (NRC) strengthens this by encouraging collaboration with researchers and lecturers and safeguarding the quality of the profession.

Social impact programmes

We work with partners on projects that create social impact, from sustainable supply chains to fair trade. In doing so, we demonstrate that procurement is more than a profession: it is a force for positive change.
